Hello, I'm Josie, and I help international professionals find their voice in the German workplace. I teach them to advocate for themselves and enjoy living in Germany. Have you worked here for years, understood everything in meetings, but frozen when it was your turn to speak? Do you want to negotiate a better salary at your next review or understand why your German colleagues seem so direct? That's where I come in! I speak five languages and have lived and worked in several countries, so I understand the learner's perspective and the professional's perspective of trying to thrive in a culture that isn't their own. Outside of teaching, I'm a documentary photographer who has visited over 30 countries, and I play flag football. I love good conversations, and I design my lessons around them. I am a certified DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) teacher, Goethe-Institut certified, and I have taught learners from A1 to C1 levels, from complete beginners to advanced professionals refining their final 10%. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Specialized Translation (Economics), an MBA in Marketing and Data Management, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Information Law. This combination is particularly relevant to my focus area: Business German. I understand not just the language, but also the world in which you operate — contracts, compliance, negotiations, and corporate communication.
