Speak More, Learn More! Build confidence through conversation. Hello! My name is Mai. I live in beautiful Hokkaido, surrounded by rich nature. I am a teacher with over 25 years of experience teaching students aged 16 and above. In my lessons, I believe that speaking is the key to improving your Japanese. Natural conversation with a native speaker is one of the most effective ways to build fluency and confidence. As both a teacher and a language learner myself, I know that students learn best when they actively participate. That’s why my lessons are interactive, student-centered, and focused on helping you express your own ideas in Japanese. I’m a good listener, so don’t be afraid to speak a lot! I will provide feedback and corrections when needed, while making sure you feel comfortable and confident throughout the lesson. In addition to Japanese conversation practice, I can also support students who would like to study Math or Chemistry in Japanese.
