Hi, I’m Loki, a top 1% teacher on iTalki.
I’m from the UK, but now I’m based in Berlin. During the last few years I’ve helped hundreds of students like you to 'upgrade' their English. As well as being a qualified tutor, I was the editor of a music magazine for around 10 years, so I’m really into language, music and anything creative. I can help you with British or American English, or both!Me as a Teacher
As you can see, I'm a TEFL-certified English teacher with a Cambridge English certificate in IELTS preparation and a background in music journalism. My experience is primarily in one-on-one teaching, so my students and I achieve great results here on iTalki. Exactly what we’ll do together depends on your level and goals, but I can help you with fluency, grammar, pronunciation, IELTS, business English, written documents (CVs, letters, etc) and much more. I believe that everyone should feel safe and comfortable while learning. My classes are LGBTQ+ friendly and open to all adults of all ages.My lessons & teaching style
Speaking practice – It might sound basic, but you must speak and listen if you want to take your skills to the next level.
Grammar – I’ve created my own guides on tricky topics like past tense, conditionals, phrasal verbs, articles and tons more.
Pronunciation – We’ll look at minimal pairs, r-controlled vowels, -ed endings and other areas where many people have problems.
IELTS Preparation – As you can see on my profile, I have a Cambridge English certificate that allows me to prepare students for the IELTS exam.
Business English – I can teach you essential work vocabulary, key phrases for meetings, email writing and more, or we even do interview preparation.
