Me as a Teacher
✔ If you are beginner, we will start with pronunciation first and then build grammar from there - that is the only way to sound native-like and avoid mistakes in the long run!
✔ If you are intermediate, I'll also give you a basic understanding of the German sounds to increase your awareness, with a special focus on the sounds you don't have in your native language ("sound gaps").
✔ Throughout my lessons, I like to refer back to the individual sounds /aka "building blocks" of the German language - this has lead to great results for many of my students!
✔ I like you to find and correct your own (pronunciation) mistakes before I correct you (silent way approach)My lessons & teaching style

Cancellation policy: 24 hours in advance, If you show up with more than 10 minutes delay for a 30 or 45 minute lesson -> I have to cancel and charge the class. Punctuality is a sign of respect :)
When I have back-to-back lessons, lessons are 55 minutes ( / 42 min / 27 min) due to the administration required in between lessons!My teaching material

BAMF Zertifikat - Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge - 2012It's a 1 year intensive training course offered by the German BAMF office which enables you to teach German to student from all levels and different backgrounds.
It especially enables one to teach in the fields :
- history of the German language
- Grammar, Vocabulary
- the most relevant teaching and learning methods.
Its offered to people who already have practical experience teaching German to further deepen their knowledge.

The first lesson was interesting. He is talking to you but also picking all the wrong word that you are saying and writing them down. And this is reviewed during the wrap up. We defined what will be our focus and he has also good ideas on how I can sustain the effort after the class. Thanks Matthias.
