I am a great conversationalist and can always keep interesting conversations going while at the same time teaching you new words. Another thing is that I have a keen ear for pronunciation. I understand how the tongue, mouth shape, and throat all work together to produce the proper sounds for languages since I have been studying a multitude of foreign languages since I was 16.
大家好，我叫陈予安，很高兴向大家介绍自己。我出生于美国加利福尼亚州，现在在加州大学圣地亚哥分校攻读国际关系硕士学位。我有五年以上的英语教学经验，既有线上也有线下的经历，曾教授不同年龄段的学生。
我的教学重点是帮助学生提高发音、口音和会话能力，同时也注重语法。我热爱语言学习，能说六种语言：英语、泰语、中文、西班牙语、法语和越南语，目前正在学习韩语和日语。
未来我计划移居中国，成为一名专业的英语教师。我兴趣广泛，喜欢健身、音乐、阅读哲学、历史和心理学书籍，同时也对科技和编程充满热情。

Late Policy:
If you will be 10 minutes late or more, please let me know ahead of time, sometimes I will have another lesson to attend after. Our options are: 1. add the amount of time you missed onto the next lesson or 2. If I do not have a lesson after continue longer or 3. reschedule
Reschedule Policy:

2020 - 2021
English Pronunciation TeacherI taught English pronunciation and conversation for an English Language School based in Vietnam. We delved deep into how to sound more like an American which unlocked the students ears to understand American English better. We focused on improving accent and conversational skills. Courses were pre-planned but I also had the freedom to add my own insights and tips for the students.
2018 - Current
Cultural AmbassadorI worked at the English Language Program at UCSD where I helped exchange students improve their English via conversation. Worked under a professional English teacher and I led group discussions with students ranging from beginners to advanced. I have met a wide variety of students who come from many different countries around the world.
2024 - 2024
English TeacherEnglish training session for 3 weeks in Jinan, Shandong. Taught legal English and helped lawyers improve their oral English to communicate better with clients. Developed my own lesson plans and had free rein to lead the class as I wish. Saw vast improvement in spoken English from my students.

Bachelor’s - International Relations/Chinese StudiesAs a double major, I gained a deep understanding of global cultures and communication, which has been invaluable in my role as an online English teacher. My studies in IR taught me how to navigate cross-cultural interactions, while my Chinese Studies, including proficiency in Mandarin, gave me insight into language learning challenges. This background allows me to better tailor lessons to diverse students, understanding their cultural context and helping them improve their English effectively.

老师真的很有趣，是我碰到的非常好的老师，教学方式超爱！且很有责任心、耐心。
好几次老师工作了很久，能感受到他很疲惫，但是也没有不赖烦。课堂后面几分钟我们交流时中文用的比较多，课后甚至还跟我解释，下次尽量说英文，不然我学到的英文会变少。真的有被暖到！！！
课程涉及很多新鲜的东西（国际学校、墨西哥边境经历、中美政府公务员…），学英语的同时还了解到中美文化差异，真的物超所值！！！
学英语很重要，但是我觉得交到有趣的朋友同样很开心。
