TEFL-Certified English Teacher | Ex-Big 4 | 7+ Years Teaching | Business English & Cambridge Exams Hi! I’m Mike, a native English teacher from Sydney, Australia (currently based in Madrid, Spain). I love meeting people from around the world and helping students feel more confident, natural and, importantly, comfortable speaking English. I’ve taught children, teenagers and adults from A2 to C1+, including six years teaching university students from international and ESL backgrounds, English teaching in Spain, and private tutoring. I also specialise in Cambridge English preparation and have helped students successfully prepare for A2, B1 and B2 exams. Before moving into English teaching, I spent 15 years working internationally in business and consulting, including as a Director at Deloitte. So if you’re a professional, we can go well beyond traditional Business English. Bring me your presentation, job interview, pitch or difficult meeting and we can work on both your English and how to communicate your ideas clearly and confidently. For general English students, I love conversation-based lessons built around topics that actually interest you, while naturally introducing new vocabulary, expressions and grammar along the way. My lessons are relaxed, practical and personalised. I know from learning Spanish and French myself that speaking another language can sometimes feel intimidating... so mistakes are very welcome in my classroom! The goal is to get you talking, build your confidence and enjoy yourself while your English improves.
