CELTA-Certified English Teacher | Practical English for Work, Life & Conversation Hi! I'm Venessa, a CELTA-certified English teacher and experienced writing educator from the United States. I work primarily with adult learners and love helping people become more confident and effective communicators in English. My professional background is in writing, editing, publishing, and adult education. I've spent more than 15 years working with authors and teaching writing, and I've worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels. That background has given me a particular interest in the details that make communication clearer, more natural, and more effective. In my English lessons, we'll focus on what you actually need. Maybe you want to feel more comfortable having everyday conversations, improve your grammar and vocabulary, or communicate more confidently at work. We can work on presentations, meetings, emails, interviews, or simply speaking more naturally in English. I like lessons to be practical, relaxed, and collaborative. I'll give you clear, friendly feedback and help you understand not just what's correct, but why it works. Most importantly, I want you to leave each lesson feeling like you can actually use what we've practiced. If you're looking for a teacher who will meet at your level, listen to your goals, and help you build from there, I'd love to work with you!
