My name is Andrea and I am from the United States. Languages are my passion. I have spent the past several years teaching English, both online and in the classroom. I have lived in China and Indonesia, and I am currently living in Mexico. I study the local language in each country I visit, so I am familiar with the challenges that learners face. In the future, I hope to move to Brazil to share my language and culture, as well as study Portuguese.Me as a Teacher
Learning a language can be frustrating. Especially if you feel like you’re not making progress. That’s why I make my lessons fun, interesting, and logical. I structure my lessons in a way that helps you build upon the vocabulary and grammar that you already know. I also provide resources and written transcripts to help you review. That way, you can look back and see your progress. I use scientifically proven study methods, such as spaced repetition and active recall to make our time together efficient and effective. The best way to learn a language is through comprehensible input that engages your emotions. My lessons are fun, motivating, and catered to your own personal interests. We use a variety of resources, such videos, articles, and music. The classes are also designed to get you speaking as much as possible. Throughout the lesson, I can give you tips and tricks to sound like a native speaker while discussing topics that are interesting and useful to you. All lessons come with a transcript to help you review the new vocabulary and expressions from the lesson.My teaching material

Andrea is very kind, experienced and responsible. I can learn a lot from her. She asked what I would like to learn before taking the class. Also, she summarized some notes for me after the class and gave me the assignments. Hope I can get a nice band in ielts speaking part in August.

Andrea is very kind. I prepared for the TOEFL with her, and it motivated me to know that we always had a plan for each class. We practiced speaking a lot as well. If you have trouble organizing yourself, she is the perfect teacher and accountability partner.

Very helpful and dedicated teacher. I was glad to have found someone who understands my needs to discuss challenging topics and not just read off words. So highly recommended especially for advanced students. (Which is not to say that she is not recommended for other students as well).
