MA student in Japanese Language Education/ English OK Have you ever studied Japanese but still felt nervous about having a casual conversation with a Japanese person? I understand that feeling because I experienced it myself with English. I studied English for many years and could give presentations at work, but casual conversations were difficult. I then took one-on-one English lessons with more than 50 tutors. I bring what I learned from those experiences into my Japanese lessons. Let’s talk in Japanese! 🗣️ The key to successful learning: • We speak more when we feel safe and supported. • We remember more when we talk about things we care about. • We become more confident when we successfully express ourselves. You don’t need to prepare a topic for every lesson. We can use Japanese artworks as conversation starters. You don’t need to know anything about art! From there, we can talk about your experiences, memories, opinions, and interests. You’re not just studying Japanese—you’re using Japanese to express your own ideas. A safe place to make mistakes 😊 Mistakes are completely OK. Take your time, try again, or say something in a simpler way. I’ll support you and help you express yourself naturally. I have about three years of experience teaching Japanese, and I can also support you in English when needed. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Japanese language education at one of the leading graduate schools, studying research-based approaches to language learning.
