I think my favorite thing about Emi's classes is her enthusiasm. Emi very clearly loves to teach, and her love of teaching makes learning with her a pleasure. Emi is a wonderful teacher. She is patient and flexible, and a pleasure to spend time with. She is very encouraging, and her lessons are well planned and thorough. She has not only adjusted our lesson plans to my learning goals, but also to my interests! I look forward to our classes every week, and always come away from our meetings excited to learn more. I am also very impressed with Emi's English. I have had some wonderful language teachers in the past, but they would unfortunately struggle to explain grammar or understand my questions — this has not been the case with Emi! I feel very comfortable speaking with her, knowing that if I can't explain something in Chinese, she can help me in English to achieve my goals. I really can't stress enough how wonderful and welcoming a teacher she is, and would recommend her to everyone!

It's time to write a review for one of the best Mandarin Chinese teachers out there. Emilie is super helpful and flexible. Her lessons are highly dynamic and fast-paced. She can teach in both English and French and always has loads of examples to offer, so that you can get a really good idea of how you can use any given word. Your Chinese will definitely feel more natural and less "bookish" if you take lessons with Emilie! 👍

Emi Li is very nice and easy to talk to. I feel very excited now that I started taking classes with her. She can lead the class in Chinese only, but she can also provide explanations in English if needed, which is great. She seems interested in the conversations we have and it’s very encouraging to me. I leave each class with new vocabulary to learn. I’m looking forward to working with this teacher more.
