Hello everyone!
My name is Karin and I come from Slovakia. :) I am a passionate language enthusiast and love learning about different cultures. In my opinion, knowing a foreign language helps you connect to the hearts of other people and that's wonderful. Even though it requires a lot of hard work! :D
I've got two jobs, I teach English in a local language school and also work as a social media manager for a company which organizes cultural events. So, culture, marketing, languages, travelling - these are all my passions!

As a teacher I pay attention to personal goals and needs of every single student. My lessons are more conversational because I think that language is taught mainly (not only!) by speaking. I'll encourage you to speak from the very beginning. I am ready to discuss any topic which you like and help you to answer your inquiries.
I like to use interactive materials and have fun with the language! I have been teaching English for 2 years in local language school so I have some experience in teaching both adults and children. My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are informal and conversation-based. We will structure each lesson to your specific needs as a learner. I teach all levels of students - from absolute beginners to intermediate and more advanced students. The typical lesson will include conversation, pronunciation practice, new vocabulary, reading and comprehension.

Karin is an amazing teacher! I already had some basic knowledge of the Slovak language and Karin immediately adapted to my level from the first lesson on. Her lessons are always fun and tailored to my needs. As I especially want to improve my speaking skills, she motivates me to speak more in Slovak and gives me great feedback. She is a very kind, patient and fun person, so I always feel comfortable speaking to her, even if I make a lot of mistakes. ;) I will definitely continue my lessons with her.

This was a great class. It was well-organized. Karin goes beyond what I would have expected for a conversation class. She is focused and remains on task. Additionally, she continues to speak in Slovak even when I try to use English as a crutch. I really appreciate this. I recommend her highly to students hoping to improve their Slovak speaking and conversation skills.
