Would you like to learn/ improve your Italian with the help of a professional with long teaching experience? Are you planning a visit to Italy soon ? Welcome to my page! After being a flight attendant and a certified Italian/English interpreter, I taught Italian in California and during a long stay in India, I got my Hatha Yoga teacher certification . Speaking foreign languages , my Yoga and meditation background helped me being empathic , supportive and understanding towards my students! My big passion is travelling , Yoga and meditation , hiking in nature ,animals , photography , foreign languages , art, cinema etc.

Me as a Teacher

Passion, patience , sense of humour and enthusiasm are the" ingredients" in my teaching! I really enjoy my job! Students think my teaching is clear , well-structured and stress free , taking into account the difficulties of my native language . I have extensive experience with students of all ages and motivations :travelling, communicating with relatives & friends, working , school studying or simply enjoying to learn /improve Italian! ** Looking forward to help you with your Italian!You can start anytime ,anywhere and at any age ** I am learning new languages too!😉

My lessons & teaching style

I like to create a welcoming, pleasant atmosphere with my student and together we will work on *pronunciation and intonation *reinforce grammar *build up vocabulary and typical Italian daily expressions *encourage conversation *correct mistakes *If you are beginner you will learn basic grammar and enough vocabulary to make you feel confident . *If you are intermediate or advanced, we will use articles, videos, books, podcasts, songs, etc. about topics of your interest! Sylvia is a fantastic instructor. She is energetic, focused, and makes the classes a lot of fun. I have learned a great deal from her in a short period of time, and I really appreciate how much she tailors the lessons to my needs. She is adaptable does a great job minimizing the use of English to increase my exposure to Italian even though I am a beginner. This has helped me improve rapidly. I have studied several languages and would highly recommend Sylvia to anyone interested in learning Italian.
