Hey! My name is Aline and I teach English and Brazilian Portuguese on Italki :)
I was born and raised in Brazil but have been living in Germany since 2015. I am very passionate about languages (I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and German fluently) and have a dual bachelor's degree in English and Spanish with a specialization in Linguistics (more precisely in adult second language acquisition). I'd love to share my knowledge and passion with you and to help you you achieve your language goals!
Me as a Teacher
I've been teaching languages both online and in-person for over 8 years now, and I have worked with students of all ages, proficiency levels and cultural backgrounds. One of the reasons I love working on Italki is that it gives me the opportunity to connect with students from all over the world, so I also get to meet different people and not only teach, but also learn a lot with my students!My lessons & teaching style
I'm really open, positive and patient, so no need to be nervous/shy in my classes! I remember how I hated going to language classes where I was afraid of making mistakes and being judged by the teacher, and I really don't want you to go through that! I'd like my students to actually look forward to class, so I try to make things as fun and interesting as possible (and it's just so much easier to learn something if you're enjoying yourself!). I like to use different materials like scans from textbooks, videos, songs, quizzes and articles, but of course I'm really flexible and can always adapt classes to your needs and interests!My teaching material

She ensures that students understand the lessons before moving on, identifies weak areas for the student to concentrate on in between lessons and provides constructive feedback in such a way as to make the student comfortable.
