Hello! I am Sangbin & a native Korean speaker. I’m doing an MA in Politics.
As an academic, I usually read books and listen to podcasts on a variety of topics: current affairs, politics, philosophy, sociology, economics, history, culture, and arts. So if you want to have "an intelligent conversation in Korean", I would be the perfect teacher for you.
My teaching principle is found on Dr. Stephen Krashen's Theory of Second Language Acquisition, who is one of famous linguists: understandable and fun! In his words, Language acquisition should be comprehensible and compelling. So, the teaching materials that I used are based on student's levels and interests. Here is my lesson plans:Me as a Teacher
★한국어 집중 훈련 Intensive Courses
This lesson is designed for very beginners to upper beginners I'm goin to use various textbooks(PDF) and sent them to students before lessons.
1. 한글(Hangul, the Korean alphabet)
2. Verb Conjugation: -아요/어요(present)
3. Number & Time(day/week/month/year)4. Negative verb forms: not(안/-지 않다), not able to(못/-지 못하다)
5. Verb Conjugation: -았어요/었어요(past)
6. Verb Conjugation: -ㄹ을 거예요(future)
7. Conjunctive particles: - 고(and), -거나/나(or)
8. Conjunctive particles: - 는데 / 지만(but)
9, Conjunctive particles: - 아서 /어서(therefore or because), -나서(after)
10. Noun Phrases & Relative Clauses : Nominalization, and “Verb+는+Noun”
After learning basic grammar,My lessons & teaching style
★한국어로 대화하기 Casual Conversation in Korean
In this course, we will read short texts, or watch short videos, and talk about the topics.
Topics will be about a casual daily life : movies, music, travel, food, culture, etc.
And I'll give you a homework, and its feedback too.
★고급 한국어: 토론 &작문 Advanced Korean: Discussion &Writing
You can have a casual talk, but you may still mumble or hesitate to talk about some serious topics.
If so, this lesson will be perfect for you.
In this lesson, we' will have a conversation on heavy topics, for example, current affairs.
After a lesson, I'll give you a writing homework and its feedback too.My teaching material

수업을 위해서 노력과 준비 많이 한 거 느꼈어요. 새러온 복잡한 단어도 많이 배웠고 재미있는 이야기도 했어요. 저 읽이 경험 많이 없어니까 좀 긴장이 됬는데 쌤이 너무 잘 설명했어서 한 수업에 수준이 늘었던 거 같아요. 주제도 잘 뽑았어요.
