I'll help you to speak English fluently and easily.
I offer bespoke classes.
I'm a native English speaker from South Africa with 20+ years of adult training experience. My students include other teachers, business experts, travelers & children.
I've worked for 30+ years in various industries and in numerous positions including Human Resources & Senior Management.
I use this knowledge to enhance my teaching skills by relating to all kinds of people of all ages and backgrounds.
I enjoy various sports (e.g. open ocean swimming, cycling, squash, basketball and football) and have other hobbies including reading, aviation, photography, PC's and model & LEGO building!

I adjust my material to suit my students' needs, thereby assisting every level of student.
I like to keep the classes dynamic and interesting.
I use various methods including audio, visual and when required by the student; homework assignments.
Most importantly, I believe that the best learning takes place when there is fun to be had, so regardless of whether we are merely chatting, or having a serious lesson, I am focused on my student enjoying the class and coming away from it with learning having taken place.

If I had to choose three traits of Patrick that describe him as a teacher, I would go with: diligence, creativity, and flexibility. Diligence, because he is always fully committed to clearly and thoroughly explaining every nuance of the language the student is struggling with. Creativity, because he is not only focused on correcting the student’s mistakes. Instead, he provides a lot of alternative vocabulary with relevant examples. Flexibility, because he is very open-minded and able to adapt to any topic, which is evident from pertinent and thought-provoking questions he often asks. All of the above makes me recommend Patrick to anyone looking for an excellent teacher/mentor.

It is a joy to speak to Patrick every week because he is my friend. In today’s class we covered wide-range of topics. I am so happy that I could tell Patrick about my father who passed away when I was just 13. Apart from our discussion, I really enjoy reading Patrick’s feedback.
