CELTA, IELTS, and BET Certified teacher with eight years of teaching experience Hello! My name is Cory I am an English teacher and digital designer from America with eight years of experience teaching both general English and business English. I have a CELTA certificate, an IELTS teaching certificate, and a BET certificate for teaching Business English. As for University, I have degrees in Political Science (International Relations concentration), Russian & Slavic Studies (including Ukrainian language and literature), and Business Administration. My personal approach to teaching English follows my belief that learning should involve active communication and expression of ideas. Additionally, I expect students to consistently read and listen to English material outside of class. I am happy to provide or recommend material that I find particularly beneficial to bringing up your level of communication. I also believe that we should always be having fun with topics and exercises that are interesting to us both. Our lessons will start with a warm-up chat, continue on with speaking about any books you are reading or series you are watching (be ready to talk, talk, talk), and finally we'll move on to a topic that interests us you (or, hopefully, both of us!) If you have any questions about the lesson types, please feel free to write! If you're unsure of which class type to book, the safest option is "Free-flow Conversation." We can easily pivot within our conversation to different formats or levels of English. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
