Linus Komnick

Linus was very thorough and a pleasure to have a lesson with. He also provided helpful documents that you can refer back to after the lesson which I find very useful. It was a great first meeting and I look forward to the coming lessons!

Linus continues to provide outstanding tips on how to improve my pronunciation of German. He is an extremely patient and helpful teacher. He tailors the instruction to my particular needs.

Linus keeps the conversation going for the whole lesson. He is very patient with all my mistakes and corrects them in an encouraging way. I enjoy the conversation with him and I am learning new vocabulary and grammar all the time. I look forward to next week's lesson.

This was a trial lessen, where we discussed my goals and ways to achieve them. I felt very comfortable and confident with Linus' teaching method, and subsequently bought a package of 10 lessons. We plan to work on my pronunciation of German by me reading aloud some short stories. At the conclusion of the lesson, I said "Bis später", which translates to "See you later". Linus pointed out that I should use "Bis bald" (See you soon), explaining that "later" is reserved for later that day. That simple correction reinforced my gut feeling about continuing with Linus. I appreciate learning the nuances of the language.

We went straight into a conversation in German but Linus did it at a level that I could understand. My confidence began to grow immediately. Sometimes I went to English and Linus helped me to turn what I said into German so that I kept on learning. It was a really great lesson and I look forward to the next one.
