I have just had a very useful first lesson with Luca. He encouraged me to get over my lack of confidence when it comes to actually speaking Italian (my main reason for booking a session with him) and I left the lesson feeling enthusiastic and excited about my progress. He is a very friendly, supportive tutor. I heartily recommend him!

Luca is an amazing Italian teacher! Every lesson is another creative idea that builds off of what we know and pushes our Italian to new levels. To bring his lessons to life, he uses a variety of authentic materials: videos, articles, pictures, stories and his own real-life experiences among others. We always feel challenged, but never in a way that feels over our ability. If you want a great Italian teacher, choose Luca.

Luca is a fantastic teacher, friendly, patient and encouraging, everything you need and want in a teacher. He prepares the lesson beforehand and gives you comprehensive notes after the lesson.

Luca is a wonderful teacher, and I don’t say this lightly, as I have been taking lessons with him for well over two years now. I love how he combines active language acquisition with cultural immersion, meaning that the topics we discuss always highlight an important aspect of the language while introducing me to one of the many fascinating facets of Italy. He never seems to run out of good ideas (or good humour) and prepares lessons that provide both the structure I need and the flexibility I enjoy. Even after all this time, I still look forward to every lesson, which is perhaps the best testament to Luca’s qualities as a teacher.
