Experienced teacher with 7 years of teaching on italki I'm a native Italian Tutor. I teach all students, except absolute beginners and minors. I'll help you achieve fluency through conversation, grammar, a focus on sentences and the very amusing study of songs! I've a background of studies on Humanities, so I'm very competent in my language. But let better speak my students about me as a teacher! These are the kinds of comments I've been receiving lately: "Giulio is an amazing teacher! He is very knowledgeable in all things Italian and Italy! It was a lot of fun learning the language through song and pleasant conversation. I am a nervous language learner who is a bit shy about making mistakes, but Giulio helped me feel very comfortable in our lesson. I highly recommend him!" "I've never had a lesson like this! I really like Giulio's methods and I feel as though it's impossible NOT to learn!!! Grazie, Giulio!" My method is based on CONVERSATION and VARIOUS MATERIAL, included SONGS, which I use as examples of REAL Italian language in order to teach you LISTENING, PRONUNCIATION, READING, WRITING, VOCABULARY, GRAMMAR, ITALIAN SENTENCES and IDIOMS. However, I will choose the LEARNING MATERIAL THAT YOU LIKE: it's very important that you study with material YOU'RE INTERESTED IN, so YOU WILL STUDY MORE WILLINGLY and WILL LEARN MUCH BETTER AND MORE QUICKLY. My focus is especially on ITALIAN SENTENCES, which are very often overlooked by students and teachers, but which are VERY EFFECTIVE TO LEARN TO SPEAK FLUENTLY. See you on italki...

Giulio is very engaging, allows the student to talk, and selectively interjects corrections in phrasing and grammar, so as not to interrupt the flow of conversation.

another great lesson completed, he will explain all the errors, and really push you to the next level. I'm also enjoying the new platform updates, that the site will generate new quizzes for us from this material as well. anyway highly recommended.

Had a great chat with Giulio; he gave me some very useful corrections at the end of the lesson and, more importantly, he managed to rekindle my desire to reread D'Annunzio!
