Hi there, my name’s Philip and I’m from Wales in the UK. I've lived in many countries and met many people from different cultures. Apart from learning languages, I relax by drawing and sculpting. I get along with most people because I’m friendly, optimistic, and I try to see the best potential in others.Me as a Teacher
I’ve been teaching English for 25 years, and I’ve been an IELTS examiner for 4 years, so I know how the examination works and can help you to get the best band score you are able to get. I also like teaching English for business - presentations, negotiations, the language for meetings. I have real-life commercial management experience myself, which helps me when I am preparing students for working life.
Although I’ve taught a lot in classrooms and offices, I also enjoy teaching online because I get the opportunity to get to know people from around the world and I love it when I am able to help them to achieve their goals, whatever those goals are. I often stay in touch with my old students.My lessons & teaching style
Most importantly, you should enjoy your lessons because you learn better when you are relaxed and happy. Of course, all language learning includes some grammar, vocabulary, fluency practice, and my students think I am good at helping them to handle these areas. In a trial lesson, we can discuss what you need, then you can decide if you would like to book some lessons with me. Thanks to Philip for guiding me so well for the IELTS exam. He is really encouraging and helpful. He provides me with a note to review my weaknesses and what I need to improve after every lesson. Additionally, I will receive my homework and resources that we can go through in the next lesson.
