I studied history, literature, and politics at university, so I love to read and learn about other cultures. Curiosity and kindness are qualities I value above all others, and I try to model them myself and encourage them in others every day. I also love music, film, and video games. I also learned Russian at university and continue to study it to this day, so I am very interested in the language learning process and believe the best way to teach others is to always be a learner yourself. I know how difficult and gratifying the process is, and I'd love to share the ups and downs with you. My approach is based on what has worked for me in the past, what the experts say works, but also whatever your preferred methods may be. It is clear to me that the best way to make progress is to cater lessons to learners' interests, so that they can put into practice what they've learned in the contexts that make the most sense for them. I have received formal training in English language education for adults (CELTA) and have recently finished my Master of Teaching, so I am trained in a range of methods to help you reach your goals.
