I moved to Chile in early 2017 in order to learn Spanish, and it was an amazing experience. I lived there for 5 years and I moved back to the USA in 2022. Before moving to Chile, I was an IT consultant for 7.5 years where I specialized in the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile, but I decided to make a career change. In Chile, I taught Business English to corporate students in Santiago and I also worked as a Scrum Master after I learned enough Spanish to get by. Now I teach on Italki part-time. It's been a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to the next big adventure! I am a TEFL certified Business English teacher that has taught Interview Preparation classes, conducted resume reviews and taught Business English classes to corporate students in Santiago as well as numerous students all around the world. I have taught both individual and group classes at companies like Walmart, Saba, PwC and Albemarle for all levels. My lessons are customized based on the English goals of my students. Since everyone has different motives for learning a new language, I want to ensure that we are focusing on what the student wants to improve upon. Additionally, I want to include resources that the students like so the classes can be fun for them (i.e. audio clips, videos, news articles, etc). I want to recommend Kacie as a teacher. 👍 At the beginning of the first lesson, we had a conversation about my expectations and my goals. Kacie adjusted very easily to my level of language, profession and hobby 💻. I feel very relaxed when speaking to her because she created something like a friendly mood, so, you will not be scared to make mistakes. Difficult or unknown words she can explain in a very simple way. I was surprised when 2-3 days after the lesson I got more materials related to my profession, just to develop my language skills and "repair" my mistakes from the previous lesson. Once again - I would like to highly recommend 👍 Kacie and look forward to the next lesson.
