Katya Antonova

I am impressed with Katya's teaching style. Though her teaching style may vary with different individuals, in our lessons, she speaks ONLY in Russian and tries to get me to respond in Russian. When I don't know how to say something, she types it out in the Google Doc. This is the active approach. For the passive approach, Katya is a GREAT conversationalist. I enjoy listening to her speak because she can make a simple topic very interesting. There is always something to talk about. If you want to learn Russian and practice your conversation skills, take a lesson with her!

Katya is so so warmhearted and sweet that I advise none of your guys should miss her lessons! I used to be a person with low self-esteem to talk to others totally in English, however, it is through the conversation with Katya that I can now express myself in English in a so confident way. Thank you a lot, Katya. For others friends who are hesitant or puzzled, do not lose this fantastic chance to learn with Katya!🥰

Having taken many lessons with Katya, I can confidently say that she is consistent, knowledgeable, patient, and willing to adapt her teaching style to my needs as a student. She has worked with me from learning Cyrillic in my first lesson, to being able to have various conversations primarily in Russian. I highly recommend her as a teacher, and am confident that if you are a good student you will succeed.

I have been working with Katya for about 14 months. She shows up very prepared every time and brings a lot of energy to the lessons. She provides gentle feedback on pronunciation as well. I worked with her to learn Russian from scratch. She can provide homework and resources for when I had time for work outside of lessons. I've been busy lately and she's been patient with me so we can make as much progress as possible during the lessons which is where the majority of my learning has come from these days. Overall, it's been an excellent experience working with her so far and I intend to continue working with her for a while! She's been excellent!
