Привет! I’m Elena, a native Russian speaker and passionate language teacher based in Vienna. With a BA in History and an MA in Human Rights, I bring an academic perspective to language learning, making lessons rich in context and culture.
For eight years, I’ve specialized in teaching Russian to all levels, from beginners mastering Cyrillic to advanced learners polishing fluency. My background in creative writing and history means our lessons can be as dynamic as you’d like: think grammar with a side of poetry or vocabulary through historical anecdotes!
When I’m not teaching, I’m am researching or writing poetry, proof that language, for me, is alive. Let’s turn your Russian goal into reality

Elena is really good at listening, correcting (but not over-correcting), analysing and giving feedback. I know from my own experience that this requires a lot of concentration and awareness for the student’s individual level and needs. She handles all this brilliantly.

As always: Very productive! Elena is really good at correcting my mistakes. She “guides” me through the speaking process, always finding the right balance between correcting and over-correcting, which I think is a very impressive skill!
