I am a professional and dedicated English and Spanish tutor and linguist with over eight years' experience teaching at all levels, as well as podcaster of the new English learning series "English In A Teacup". As a linguist, I am fascinated by language structures, as well as the similarities and differences between languages and cultures. For me, learning a language is not just reading grammar books, or reviewing vocabulary lists for hours - it's also an exploration into the traditions, social etiquette, the history behind the most popular expressions and even the jokes which make language the richest and most versatile form of communication.Me as a Teacher
I have an MA in Hispanic Studies and Linguistics, and I have lived and worked in both the UK and Spain for over four years, teaching English to learners of the language as well as natives. I have experience working in language schools as well as being a self-employed tutor offering online classes over Skype.My lessons & teaching style
Using Google Drive, I organise exercises, role-plays and assessments with a strong focus on communication. Every class is structured to include vocabulary training, a specific grammar topic and exercises involving everyday (and not so everyday) situations in which the student can put their understanding of the lesson into practice.
Regular reviews on past material ensure that my students always have the information in their long-term memory and they can continue perfecting their skills.

I always look forward to my lessons with Charlotte, she is very positive and smiley. I enjoy the lessons, we have different topics, both topical and educational. She always prepares the lesson and surprises me. Today I liked how she sportingly accepted Britain's defeat by the Czech Republic at the World Cup. I can only recommend her to others, we have been working together for two years and I do not regret it.
