Build Confidence Speaking Natural American English with a Patient, Friendly Native Speaker Hi! I’m a native English speaker from the Pacific Northwest of the United States, and I love languages, travel, and learning about other cultures. I’ve studied French, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese myself, so I know how exciting, and sometimes intimidating, it can be to learn another language and try to communicate in it. I have experience teaching English to children and adults in China and South Korea, as well as helping children develop their English skills through tutoring and homeschooling. I have a bachelor's degree in Family Studies and a general academic background in the social sciences. I genuinely enjoy helping people learn and seeing their confidence grow. My lessons are relaxed, personalized, and focused on using English in ways that feel useful in real life. We can talk about your interests, travel, everyday life, American culture, or whatever you’d like to discuss. I’ll help you improve your vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and natural phrasing along the way, without constantly interrupting the flow of conversation. I’m also happy to answer questions about English. If I don’t know the answer right away, I’ll be honest about it and take the time to look into it so I can give you a good explanation. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. You don’t have to speak perfect English to communicate well or to have a good conversation. Let’s use English together and build your confidence along the way!
