Shilaoshi 施老师

I've been taking lessons with Shi Laoshi for several months now and it has been a wonderful experience! I've benefitted greatly from her extensive knowledge of Chinese literature, patient explanations, and even taking the time to carefully correct my homework and help me improve my writing. It has been a lot of fun too and I would highly recommend lessons with Shi Laoshi for anyone who wants to seriously improve their Chinese.

Teacher was very good at explaining what was going on in a tricky text. She went into some side explanations about radicals as well, which I found very informative.

This lesson was very helpful. We went through the first chapter of "A New Practical Primer of Literary Chinese," and a little of the second chapter as well. She mostly used Chinese when speaking with me, and was patient with my level of speaking ability. My classes with her will be helpful for improving my literary and spoken Chinese.

I learned a lot and Teacher Shi’s explanations were very clear.
