I can't believe I'm about to enter my fourth year studying with Goma-sensei... Three years ago, I had completed a few elementary Japanese courses in college and tried a lesson with Goma-sensei for the first time. I was so nervous to speak and worried about my Japanese skills. Goma-sensei helped me advance astronomically with patience, kindness, and fun, to the point where three months ago I was offered a position as a Japanese interpreter for an engineering company. From the beginning, Goma-sensei has only spoken with me in Japanese. She is an excellent communicator, so even though I was very much a beginner, she found ways to teach me creatively. She helped me learn to feel comfortable trying my best, even when I mess up. I look forward to my lessons with Goma-sensei each week, and I am so happy with how much she helped me learn. I now have all sorts of interesting conversations in Japanese! I'm excited to continue learning together, and I can't recommend her enough.

The teacher is extremely dedicated and attentive. During the lesson, she keep a record of the words and sentences I struggle with. Before the class ends, she always summarize the areas where I can improve and provide a clear plan for our next session. I’m very grateful for their help!

Goma-san tailored the class perfectly to my needs and level! I gained so much more than I expected, and she is incredibly kind and patient. The class notes are super helpful for reviewing after the lessons. I highly recommend her classes to students of all levels who are keen on learning Japanese!
