Italian that actually sounds Italian — grammar, culture, real talk + Tours Hi, I'm Amos — an Italian teacher, and a language learner myself for many years. That's exactly why I care about you actually understanding what's said to you, and being able to answer back with confidence. I graduated in Languages and Linguistic Sciences from Ca' Foscari University of Venice, and over the years I've studied several languages myself, so I know exactly how confusing — and how satisfying — this process can be. Today I teach Italian at the Italian Institute of Culture in Tirana, where grammar meets real life: rhythm, tone, the small things that make a sentence sound Italian rather than just correct. I like the book. It's a good place to start — a map, not a cage. I can be spontaneous and funny, but also serious and structured when needed. The lesson style depends on you. We can work with books, articles, videos, songs or simply through natural conversation. Sometimes we may use a book as a base and then expand into speaking practice. Before diving into anything, I like to get to know you: your level, your goals, what already trips you up. Mistakes are part of the process, so I correct gently, without making you feel small. If German, Russian, Spanish, French or Albanian is your first language, that can help too — I know all of them, and can use them when a shortcut in explanation is useful. Come in, take a seat. We'll start with a conversation — that's usually the best way in.
