Hi! My name is Brant, and I have been an English teacher for almost 10 years. I am from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia in the United States, and I have lived and worked around the world teaching English. I currently live in Oaxaca, Mexico where I teach English, and I have been here for almost 7 years. My hobbies include mountain biking/downhill racing, spending time with my family, and reading and playing sports. My teaching style varies depending on what kind of class I am teaching, but in general I am patient with my students and cultivate a relaxed atmosphere in my class so that students feel comfortable and safe. I encourage my students to try new things, make mistakes, and ask questions as much as possible. I also take pride in really listening to my students and understanding their needs and language goals. I have had a lot of success with my students, and I believe that this is because of my many years of teaching experience as well as my ability to connect with my students. My lessons are personally tailored to my student's needs.
