Hi! I’m Jess, a TEFL-certified English teacher specializing in **American pronunciation and business English** for global professionals. Originally from Florida, I now call Lisbon home—a muticultural city that fuels my love for languages (I speak 5!) and cultural exchange.

I've been teaching for over 13 years, primarily teaching one-on-one lessons online. I've also taught business English to groups and individuals on-site in Prague and Budapest.
I focus on American English and pronunciation, but I work with students on business English, as well as general English grammar and conversation. My lessons & teaching style
My lessons always depend on student goals and correcting frequent mistakes in speech. I don't have a set curriculum because everyone has different challenges and desires, but I will build a learning plan and share that with you.
I work with several books and series and I use online resources to create customized lessons in Google Docs. I use all sorts of materials depending on your interests and areas for improvement.
In informal tutoring, it's all about talking. Each lesson is based on one topic of conversation, with lots of questions and answers (and corrections, too!).My teaching material

I think learning English with Jess is the most fun and easy way I've ever learned a language. Our lessons are always full of interesting materials in different formats that fit my level as I progress, and I can literally feel my skills improving. Time just flies, I never get tired while studying, and I even look forward to doing my homework! One of the best teachers ever ⭐️

Teacher Jess is amazing! Time goes by very fast in her class because it is fun and interesting. Sometimes, studying English can be boring, but with her, it is never boring. If I don’t understand something, she explains it in different ways until I get it. Learning with her feels easy, like studying without stress. I have learned a lot from her, and I am very happy and thankful to have her as my teacher.
