Michela Badii

I haven’t left a review of my lessons with Michela for a couple of weeks, mainly because I have run out of superlatives to describe these lessons. I always come away from a lesson feeling motivated and looking forward to the next lesson and learning more about not only the language but the culture and history of Italy. This week we discussed social networks and the internet. We discussed topics such as the effects of taking a break from social media and the positive and negative sides of the internet. My homework for the next lesson is to write a brief report on the use of social networks and the advantages and disadvantages. Michela knows me well enough to know that I love this type of homework and we might need a few hours to review it! Okay I am joking… but I cannot wait! Grazie Michela… alla prossima!

Another great lesson!! The hour flies by!

Michela is unrivaled in both her emotional and intellectual capacity as an instructor. She is able to meet you at whatever level you are and with whatever material/content you need. She is a gem.

Today we discussed housing and I look forward to continuing the discussion next week. I’ll work on expanding my vocabulary and review words of position.

After a week on holiday to relax and unwind, we had a lot of things to talk about this week,leaving ourselves little time to discuss the homework I had done. However, the topics we discussed give me a lot of opportunities to practise my Italian vocabulary and gain more confidence with general conversation. The homework has been very interesting too. I never thought I would learn so much about Italy during a language lesson. Part of this is because Michela has given me the motivation to want to learn more about many different subjects relating to Italy. This week it was as diverse as the great scientist Galileo Galilei and the tragedy of the dam at Vajont in 1963. I would recommend anyone wanting to learn Italian to use the methods Michela uses and use the language to also learn new things.Not just the language, but also improve your knowledge of other subjects that interest you.But learning them by reading Italian books, watching videos in Italian etc… Grazie Michela.
