Certified teacher with 9+ years of experience | General Portuguese | Caple Exams Preparation Olá! I’m André, a dedicated European Portuguese teacher from Porto. I’ve spent years helping adult learners reach their language goals, whether they’re preparing for travel, work, or simply want to enjoy the experience of speaking Portuguese with confidence. My lessons are designed to be enjoyable, effective, and always aligned with your personal objectives. Outside the classroom, I love listening to podcasts, reading, cycling, and exploring topics like culture, travel, geography, food, music, cinema, science, nature, and sustainability - all of which often inspire great conversations with my students. As a teacher, I focus on understanding your strengths, challenges, and learning style. My approach is supportive and interactive, creating a comfortable environment where you can progress at your own pace. I believe learning should be a positive journey, and I aim to make each lesson motivating, engaging, and meaningful. A typical class blends conversation with grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation practice, always centered on real-world communication. You’ll gain practical tools to navigate everyday situations and deepen your understanding of Portuguese culture. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced learner, I offer a structured yet flexible approach that adapts to your goals and keeps you moving forward with confidence.

André is great! Very quick to diagnose where you are in your current skill set, and get you on track quickly. I came to him with a short timeframe for my CIPLE A2 exam and I already feel like he is the right choice to get me where I need to be with my Portuguese. Highly recommend!

André explains any topics that I don't understand ver clearly in a way that makes sense. The pacing of the lessons is also very good, in the lesson itself and for my progress as a whole. Highly recommend him as a tutor!
