Environmental Education InternLums Pond State Park - Bear, United StatesWorking as an Environmental Education Intern at Lums Pond State Park, I had the opportunity to educate people of all ages and backgrounds on the beautiful nature surrounding them. I helped run a large variety of educational programs, covering topics such as animal species found in the pond, tree identification, monarch butterfly habitat/migration/conservation, kayaking tours, and much more. I helped people find their passion for the natural world around them.

Educational Department/Junior Zoo KeeperCheyenne Mountain Zoo - Bear, United StatesWhile pursuing my degree in Zoo Keeping Technology, I completed 700 hours of volunteering in the Education Department at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. In my role as a Junior Zoo Keeper, I spent much of my time speaking and presenting to Zoo guests, educating them about our animals. I gave talks to groups of all sizes and ages about our animals' care, their anatomy, and our Zoo's role in conservation.

This prestigious group was in charge of carrying out service projects in our community, such as food drives for the homeless.

WEB Leader (Where Everybody Belongs)Falcon Middle School - Peyton, United StatesIn my final year of middle school, I was chosen to be part of a program called WEB "Where Everybody Belongs". In this program, I helped 6th graders have a smooth transition into middle school. Our WEB group (all 8th graders) spent time with the kids during their first week of school and checked in on them throughout the year. We helped them do homework, talked to them about their transition, showed them around the campus, and led them in some fun games to help them get to know each other.
