Ismail Lamiri Alaoui

I recently took a French class with Professor Ismail Lamiri Alaoui, and it was an excellent experience. He is highly professional, demonstrating a deep knowledge of the French language and teaching techniques. He provided valuable suggestions on how to improve my French, tailoring his advice to my specific needs and level. Additionally, his residence in Rio and fluency in Portuguese make him an ideal instructor for Brazilian students, facilitating smoother communication and understanding. I chose him by chance and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of his teaching. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn or improve their French skills.

It has been almost 2 years since I started learning French with Ismail. He is energetic and hilarious, I enjoyed every lesson with him. As somebody who is a bit shy, it is hard to talk with people especially in a language you are not good at. However, with Ismail, he patiently listened to my French and made the conversation lively making the learning process a fun hour talking with a friend. Merci beaucoup!

I really enjoyed my lesson with Ismail. He was friendly, engaged, and helpful with his explanations. My only request would be that I had a little more talking time, but this isn't a real complaint as I'm also interested in practicing my listening skills.

The class was very well managed as the exploratory ground-setter that a trial lesson should be. Ismail orchestrated a brisk conversation from the onset - all in French but with recourse to English where there were difficulties - in which he triggered me to speak a lot, assessed my level, corrected my mistakes and provided pertinent explanations. A dedicated discussion followed in which he asked about my expectations and I asked questions, above all about: (i) the lesson plan Ismail would divine for me; and (ii) the actual, proactive teaching he would do as opposed to only reacting to the mistakes I would make. He provided answers while himself prodding on a number of points. He has promised to send me a lesson plan in light of what we discussed but, only a few hours after the class, had sent a written summary of the lesson. Ismail projected exactly the professionalism and style that would reassure a student that he is without question the right tutor to take lessons with.

Another lesson! I find his lessons engaging and thoughtful.
