Certified teacher with 6 years of teaching experience Hello, my name is Anna. I teach Russian and Japanese on italki. I was born and live in Moscow. I am a native Russian speaker and a certified teacher with more than 6 years of teaching experience. I have always been passionate about learning languages, which is why I chose to major in Japanese and English at Moscow State Linguistic University, where I also took a course in Culture Studies and Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language. After graduating I got JLPT N1 certificate in 2011, worked in Japanese companies and lived in Kyoto and Osaka for about 5 years. In my free time I enjoy watching movies, reading, studying art, traveling and hiking. I always try to tailor the lessons to the student’s goals and interests in order to make the time in the classroom enjoyable and effective. I am happy to help you achieve your goals. We can focus on grammar, speaking skills and pronunciation, or on anything else you might want to improve. I believe language learning to be about communication, so I’d be happy to hear more about you and your interests. I usually start each lesson with a small warmup conversation, review and then we’ll move on to the main topic of the lesson. I provide a structured course, which includes speaking, listening, reading and writing, but we can focus on the aspects that you need the most. With beginners I use a lot of drills.
