I’m also a PhD researcher in language acquisition, specializing in Arabic in particular, as well as interference from Arabic into English at the syntactic and morphological levels. Youssef is a fantastic teacher because he is patient and encouraging. I don't stress about making mistakes because he gives corrections in a kind way. Also, if I'm not sure how to say something, he helps me think through it by asking me questions I do know the answer to. Through this approach, I can still often find the answer through my own understanding which is helping me build confidence in the language. It is very rewarding to have lessons with Youssef, and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their Arabic.
