Mina Khalili

I really enjoy studying Persian with Mina. What I appreciate most is the clear structure of the course. Mina clearly knows what she's doing - each lessons fits seamlessly with what we have learnt so far and what we will be learning next. From every lesson, I receive copious notes brimming with new vocabulary, example sentences, dialogues and cultural insights - a testament to how incredibly productive these lessons are! They are varied, too: we have conversations, read short texts, listen to recordings, practise new vocabulary and review grammar points. Mina is also flexible, always happy to clarify more difficult points (sometimes more than once) and to adapt to my pace. Her deep knowledge of linguistics and Persian language and culture is a tremendous asset, as well. In a nutshell: I couldn't find a more dedicated Farsi tutor. !خسته نباشید

After studying with Mina for a few months, I can't even imagine studying with someone else. Mina's classes are very well organized and fun. I finish every class feeling accomplished and inspired. Mina has not only a vast knowledge of multiple languages (which is very helpful as we can find an exact meaning for every word or expression), but she clearly has experience teaching students at a variety of levels. I am so grateful to have found her!

Mina is an awesome and dedicated teacher. Her lessons always follow a clear structure, she focuses on all the different skills that are key to language learning and provides helpful material and homework. She has a very patient and encouraging style of teaching and is always able to adapt to her students’ needs.

Mina is an outstanding teacher. I do not know if it is her background in linguistics, her own practical experience learning other languages or a combination of the two, but she has a superb understanding of the process of language acquisition. Her lessons are thoughtfully organized and she is very effective in breaking down grammar and practical usage in ways that you can remember and assimilate. She also is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her.

Mina is flexible, good at teaching using multiple modes (textbooks, conversation, video clips, etc) and a variety of materials. Class notes are very well formatted. She clearly knows what she is doing.
