I am a very enthusiastic and dynamic language teacher here on iTalki. I have been teaching on iTalki for more than 6 years and I absolutely love it. My students are the greatest and I am passionate about helping them achieve their English learning goals. I'm a TESOL professional with more than 16 years of teaching experience.
I have a bachelor's degree and master's degree in applied linguistics from Georgia State University. I also have a TEFL certificate.
I lived in South Korea for about 5 years where I taught in a public high school and then adults at Pagoda Language Academy.
I am currently working as an English instructor at a university. I am most comfortable working with young adults and professionals. I'm afraid that I'm not well-equipped to work with young learners at the moment. I hope you understand. My lessons & teaching style
The lessons I teach are based on your needs and will vary depending on your goals and learning style.
I believe 1 hour lessons are most effective; however, I understand how busy learners can be so I also offer 30 minute classes for those who are busier.

Matt has been helping me to improve my English skills especially my pronunciation, which I need to work on. Also, I often ask him some challenging questions (sorry) and he's dealing with me patiently for about 5 months so far. Sometimes, I get emotional and negative about what is going on my life, or talk about me a little too much (too much info! lol) but he always listens to me and gives me some advice. He's my mentor/teacher/buddy.
