I’m from Harbin, China. So you may notice a slight northeastern accent in my Mandarin. I’m currently based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where I teach Chinese online.
I’m very interested in different cultures, and teaching Chinese allows me to share the language and connect with people across cultures.Me as a Teacher
I’m a certified CTCSOL teacher with over nine years of experience, mostly in one-on-one lessons. I’ve worked mainly with adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
My background in counseling and psychotherapy influences the way I work with students. In practice, the work is not just the language. It’s also the person learning it.
To stay fully present for each student, I usually teach four classes a day and close my schedule once those slots are taken. My lessons & teaching style

When learning a language, it’s common to hesitate or not know what to say. These moments are part of the process. In my class, there’s no need to rush or get everything right right away.

There is room to try, pause, and reflect on what works and what feels unclear. Gradually, you get a sense of how Chinese sounds and how meaning comes through. It may start to shape how you think.

KK is great! I began lessons with her almost a year ago to help me with my college Chinese classes. She was able to find my workbooks online so she helps me review everything I have to learn for school, even helping me prepare for tests. She is a great teacher, very patient, calm, guiding, and supportive! She creates a very friendly atmosphere to learn in! 10/10 would recommend!!

I really enjoyed my lesson! Even though I already know a little bit of Mandarin, it was great to go over basic sentences for extra practice. The repetition helped reinforce my speaking, and I appreciated how patient and understanding the teacher was throughout the session. Looking forward to learning more!
