Welcome! / Excel in academic/professional writing / conversations on Canadian life / IELTS CELPIP I’m a TEFL-certified English language instructor, having completed my certification at the University of Toronto in 2018. As a certified CELPIP instructor, for ten years I've coached students in CELPIP and IELTS success for immigration to Canada. I’ve also worked as a professional proofreader and am an experienced writing coach. My first love is literature, and I’m especially interested in contemporary Canadian and American poetry, and avant-garde and experimental writing. A proud franco-Ontarian, I’m happy to discuss all aspects of Canadian culture and life. Welcome to my profile! I hope to see you in the online classroom soon. My expertise is in supporting new immigrants to Canada in developing their English communication skills. My lessons include coaching on proposals and email communications, presentations and job interviews. I can also assist with university applications, essays and theses. I’m an experienced proofreader and can give you thoughtful feedback on projects of any length. Contact me through italki with any questions about your specific requirements. IELTS is required for university admissions and IELTS or CELPIP is required for permanent residence applications. I can support your exam preparation and goals. Jessica is a great teacher! She’s really helped me understand the CELPIP better. She’s very attentive to details and always gives helpful tips on pronunciation, grammar, and sentence structure. Since she also speaks French, she can point it out when I slip into French sentence patterns. I truly recommend learning with Jessica!

I just had my first class with Teacher Jessica, and it was a great experience! She was very friendly, patient, and easy to talk to. I felt comfortable right away, which made it easier for me to practice speaking. Jessica tailored the class to my level and goals, which I really appreciated. I’m looking forward to continuing my lessons with her!
