Yoann is a fantastic teacher. We discuss lots of different topics in our lessons, like the culture, the future, and board games.

Yoann is a highly competent teacher and I greatly enjoy our lessons. He introduces new topics and grammar in a logical sequence, building on earlier material and reviewing important concepts to make sure a strong foundation is built. The optional homework provides extra practice and gets graded prior to the next lesson. Yoann is patient, friendly, and adaptable – all the qualities you’d want in your French teacher.

From my experience as a student, Yoann ranks in the top percentiles of the teachers I’ve met so far. He has a deep subject-matter knowledge of the French language, which allows for precise, on-the-spot answers to grammar/vocabulary questions, as well as experience with a wide range of pedagogical methods which steepens the learning curve further. His vibrant classes allowed me to start as a beginner and transition to intermediate level - and I am motivated to aim for the next challenge! Thank you Yoann for the good work!

As others have noted, Yoann is great for helping you with French grammar. He has his own grammar materials (both instructions and exercises) that he seems to have made himself and that provide a fresh perspective on various topics (pronouns, comparatives, tenses, etc). These are concise and I find them very useful. He color-codes sentences to expose grammatical relations as well; at first I wasn't sure if this was worth all the effort he puts into it, but now I've come to appreciate it and find it helpful. He will also grade your answers to his exercises between lessons. Overall Yoann is an excellent for learning or refreshing your French grammar.
