Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, you will find that while I will always push you to do your best and go beyond your limits, I am also patient and understanding. Not only have I been teaching for years, but I am also a student of a foreign language (Japanese), and so I know how difficult the journey can be. I think that the best way to teach any subject is to make sure that the student is enjoying the content. So, my aim is to make you have so much fun with English, that you will improve rapidly! While I am an expert at teaching English, I let my students control the pacing of the lesson. I will not rush through the content. We will learn at a steady, natural pace, and have real communication.My lessons & teaching style
There are 3 types of teachers. Some care most about their own brilliance and some care most about the subject; I am the third type, and I care most about the student. My teaching style and pacing will entirely depend on what my student wants and needs. Your goals, interests and English level will determine how the lessons are structured. No two students are exactly alike, and so each lesson must be uniquely crafted to make learning most effective. I assign homework after each lesson, and spend time at the beginning of the following lesson to go through it. Also, we will keep track of everything you learn so we can do review exercises often; that way, you will not forget what you study!My teaching material

ALT (Assistant Language Teacher)I currently work as an ALT in a few junior high schools. In this position, I co-plan and co-teach with Japanese teachers of English. Since I am not only a native speaker of English, but also a trained and qualified English teacher, the teachers even trust me to teach classes on my own. My main focuses as an ALT are on improving students’ pronunciation and intonation, as well as motivating them to want to learn English.
2017 - 2018
English InstructorIn this role, I had to plan and deliver lessons suitable for students of virtually all ages. My biggest classes were of 8 students, and I had several private lessons. This gave me the opportunity to increase the amount of attention I could give each student. Also, because my students were Japanese, I had the chance to learn and employ strategies geared toward ESL learning.
2015 - 2017
English TeacherAfter completing my education degree, I was hired as an English teacher at York Castle High, one of the top schools in Jamaica. There, I taught classes from seventh to eleventh grade. My lessons focused on grammar and academic writing.

It's my first lesson with native speaker teacher and I was very impressed about it. I thought that it will be too difficult for me to explain my thoughts to non-russian teacher, but Adam was very attentive. Also he made a very comfortable situation, because I was a bit nervous about the lesson. I wiil plan to continue lessons with Adam.

Adam sensei is well prepared for the lesson and very good at energizing the kids. Actually my daughter was a little reluctant for today’s lesson but as soon as Adam sensei started, she enjoyed it. I think it is very important for teachers to have an ability to encourage kids. Adam is a very talented teacher, especially if you are looking for a lessons for kids. Thank you Adam sensei!

It is really impressive the way teacher Adam keeps kid’s motivation throughout 45minutes!
Today we used Pokémon as a learning material. Teacher Adam is always full of new ideas and my kid really enjoys his lessons.
