Learning Greek is a magical journey to a fascinating culture. Delicious foods, adventurous history, exotic beaches, crazy people and this deep sense of unpredictability.
I adore the Greek History and Culture and i have been teaching Greek as a foreign language for years. We will have amazing time together and i have no doubt that my experience will help you master the language fast.
By the way, i am Stefanos, 27 years old and i love multicultural environments! I have traveled a lot, i have lived abroad (in the best city of the world, Helsinki) and i am really passionate meeting new people from all over the world.Me as a Teacher
I have studied Greek Language and Literature in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since i was a kid, i knew i would become a teacher. I love sharing my knowledge with other people than just making academic research for years.
I started working as a Greek Language Teacher for a company based in Athens that had hundreds of international employees from all over the world and my duty was to teach them Greek fast and efficiently. I had students of all the levels (A1-C2) and various groups and the lessons were online in order to save time for the students.
Since then, i have taught the Greek Language to hundreds of students.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching philosophy:
-Speaking is essential. You CAN'T learn a language without speaking. So speaking will be the top priority.
-Grammar has to be taught clearly and in an easy way, however Grammar should not prevent the student from speaking. The main purpose is to be able to communicate.
-Reading is also a vital part of every lesson in order to boost the vocabulary and become familiar with Greek texts.
-Homework will be provided after each lesson.
-Listening exercises will be also given as Homework.
-Writing is a great way for further improving for command on the Greek language regardless if you are a beginner or a fluent speaker.

Master's - European HistoryFor my master's degree I studied European History with specialization in the political and economical History of Europe in the 20th century. In the first year of my degree i studied in Athens, while in my second year i studied at the University of Helsinki with an exchange program. I graduated with "excellent" as a grade.

I have been taking weekly lessons with Stefanos for over a year. He is a great teacher, easy to work with, and our lessons are always enjoyable and educational. Even on the days when I am speaking nonsense Greek (everyday?) and struggling with the topic, Stefanos is engaged and attentive and the lessons are always productive. I'm a high school English teacher in the U.S., and as such, I have high standards when it comes to teachers. When looking for a Greek instructor, I wanted to make sure I found a teacher whose educational philosophy matches my own. As soon as I started my trial session with Stefano, I knew I'd found the perfect instructor for me; I've now been taking weekly lessons with him since April 2020. Stefano believes in immersion---the more Greek you speak in the lesson and the more ways you can infuse the language into your daily life, the more quickly and adeptly you'll acquire the language. Stefano believes in putting you outside your comfort zone, but he does so thoughtfully and with care because his lessons are highly individualized to your needs and goals. What's more is that he's warm and downright funny - I often can't stop laughing during our lessons - and the rapport you will develop with him makes the lessons that much more engaging and enjoyable. I can't recommend Stefano enough!

Stefanos ist ein ganz toller Lehrer. Seine Beispiele helfen mir auch bei schwierigen Stellen. Ich merke, dass ich wirklich gute Fortschritte mache. Der beste Lehrer, den ich bisher gehabt habe. Sein "Lehrplan" ist absolut individuell. Wissenslücken bemerkt er sofort und baut seinen Unterricht daraufhin um. Absolut empfehlenswert und garantiert jeden Cent wert!
