I have completed Japanese Language Teacher Training Course (420 hours and above) in 2021 and I've been teaching Japanese on italki for 3 years.My lessons & teaching style

I have two types of lessons.
The first one are lessons using textbooks. Here, we will use Irodori published by The Japan Foundation. They are for beginner to intermediate levels that focus on developing communication skills in Japanese as well as cross-cultural skills.

This was my first lesson with Miho and I enjoyed it a lot. I have never experienced this kind of lesson before where the teacher asks a lot of questions throughout the entire class. I don't know all of the N2 vocabulary yet but when there were difficult words I didn't know Miho was able to explain them easily. I really like her teaching style and I am looking forward to our next lesson.

Miho is an excellent teacher! She is very professional, but also very personal. Every lesson, she maximizes the time so that I can both practice free form chatting and learn the most possible from the lesson, which is structured very nicely according to the Irodori textbook. Learning a language while holding down a hectic job when you are on the wrong side of 50 is tough, and requires multiple resources and lots of patience. Perhaps the most important resource is a teacher who can help you maximise the impact of what you learn by focusing on practical vocabulary and grammar that suit your particular goals, and constantly keeps the difficulty level just a bit higher than your comfort level. Miho-san is precisely that kind of teacher. Bonus: She's super nice and a genuinely interested conversationalist!

I took a trial lesson with Miho to start my N2 studies. I was a bit worried if I knew enough vocabulary to start studying at this level but Miho was very encouraging and helped me a lot with the new kanji and vocabulary. I really liked her professional touch in teaching and positive attitude towards my (maybe too ambitious) goals with Japanese. I got very motivated, thanks to this lesson!🫶🏻
