👋Hi, I’m Rafael from São Paulo, with over one year of teaching experience, working mainly with adult learners, from complete beginners to students who already understand Portuguese but still freeze when it’s time to speak.
My lessons focus on helping you communicate naturally and express yourself as yourself, not just memorize grammar rules or textbook phrases.
🎯 My goal is to help you express yourself in Portuguese — with your humor, your personality, your natural way of thinking — so that when you speak, it sounds like you, just in a different language.
I developed a structured but flexible approach built around three stages: first, giving you the survival tools to stay in a conversation; then, helping you talk confidently about yourself, your life, needs, opinions, and interests; and finally, expanding that foundation into more spontaneous and fluent conversations.
In class, you can expect practical speaking from day one, clear explanations, useful vocabulary, pronunciation work, Brazilian expressions and slang, and guidance on the difference between formal and informal Portuguese.
Lessons are adapted to your level, goals, and pace. I keep the environment relaxed and practical, with plenty of feedback but no pressure. Homework is optional for students who want extra practice between lessons.
