A positive and patient teacher who enjoys helping others feel comfortable conversing in English. I am from the United States. I lived in Cebu City, Philppines for 8 years. I taught at an English language school there. I enjoy learning about the cultures of my students and understanding why they are working to learn English! My reason for teaching here on iTalki is the reward I get when I see my students feeling great about their improvements in communication and how that helps them in their lives. My other areas of passion; I love my family, food (both eating and cooking), traveling to new places, learning about cultures, spending time in nature. I love life! I have worked as an ESL teacher since 2015. I have taught both in person and online. I have worked with students from all over the world. I'm positive, patient, flexible, kind, and will help you to get comfortable speaking English! I believe the best way for me to help you learn faster is to encourage you to make more mistakes faster and to constantly be improving my ability to give useful feedback so you will want to keep going faster. I offer a range of prepared lesson agendas such as: - focus on specific grammar points - listening/comprehension practice - improving pronunciation - enhancing your vocabulary For my regular students I offer customized lessons and help with specific needs such as preparing for a test, etc. Of course, for any of my students, practicing unrehearsed conversations is a very good idea and something I encourage frequently.
