Hi, Iām Simon, a native English speaker and professionally qualified teacher from the UK with over 18 years of experience helping students achieve their English goals.
I specialise in IELTS preparation, conversational fluency, and general English for adults. Over the years, Iāve helped thousands of students reach their IELTS target scores ā whether for university, immigration, or career advancement.
I currently live and teach in EskiÅehir, a vibrant city in central Turkey, where I work with learners from all over the world.

I'm a professionally qualified teacher from the UK. Iāve been teaching English since 2006, originally training as a backup skill, but it quickly became a deeply rewarding career Iāve pursued ever since.
I have over 18 years of experience, including 11 years in schools across different countries, and Iāve taught hundreds of private students from all walks of life. I now specialise in IELTS preparation.
I believe in a pragmatic, no-gimmick approach to language learning, no shortcuts, no tricks, just solid, consistent practice that builds real-world confidence. You learn by doing, and Iām here to guide you every step of the way.

I follow a pragmatic approach, focusing on the four key skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I also help improve pronunciation, vocabulary, and fluency. I donāt emphasize grammar heavily, only when a student asks or if I spot an issue in your speaking or writing. Experience - Multiple institutions - 2007I don't have a specific certificate in teaching IELTS. however I first taught IELTS in 2006, I've taught IELTS in five different institutions, and I've been teaching IELTS on your platform since 2018. I have run group training as well as one-to-one. In the last decade, IELTS lessons account for approximately 65% of all my lessons. I know this particular test inside out. I've also prepared students for TOEFL, the Cambridge tests CAE & CPE, as well as tests for more localised institutions.
