My name is Mohammad Amir Aghaee and I am excited to be helping you on your journey to fluency in Farsi. I was born in the US and trained as an entomologist (study of bugs). A friend of mine who is a Spanish teacher on italki suggested I teach Farsi. I like to cook, shoot, fish, make videos, and watch American football at the bar while drinking diet coke (I don't drink because I am Muslim).

Me as a Teacher

My teaching background comes from being a graduate student where I taught a seminar on bugs in warfare, fish parasitology, and the scientific method, and teaching video production to industry colleagues. I am fairly laid back and will try my best to make it worth your time as your journey towards improving your Persian(Farsi) speaking abilities.

My lessons & teaching style

My teaching style and lessons will solely be focused on conversational practice. I can recommend reading material upon your request. I speak an informal form of Farsi, but it should be enough to get you to bigger and better things. Heck if you have formal grammar training in Farsi you might end up teaching me a few things that my mother didn't teach me! If you just want to kick back and relax, drink tea, and chat in Farsi, I am your guy!
