Sou uma apaixonada por viajar e conhecer novos povos, línguas e culturas. Durante 10 anos dei aulas na Índia, China e no Caribe. Conheço grande parte do continente Asiático, Europeu, Norte de África e algumas ilhas do Caribe. Adoro ler, por isso, o local onde mais gosto de trabalhar é na biblioteca. Adoro estar rodeada de livros! Normalmente, compro livros em segunda mão nos alfarrabistas. Gosto de fazer Yoga e meditação.Me as a Teacher
Sou professora de português língua estrangeira/ língua segunda desde 2007. O meu percurso profissional começou em Goa, na Índia, onde lecionei durante 4 anos. Depois, voltei a Portugal onde tirei o mestrado em Ensino de Português Língua Estrangeira. Daqui fui para a China, Trinidad e Tobago e Goa, onde ensinei em universidades. Lecionei PLE em duas universidades em Portugal: universidade de Aveiro e Faculdade de Letras de Coimbra. Atualmente, estou a frequentar o doutoramento em Educação - didática das línguas na Universidade de Aveiro e a dar aulas em Goa novamente. Para além das aulas, também estou estou a fazer a minha recolha de dados em Goa sobre as Paisagens Linguísticas e Culturais.My lessons & teaching style
Desde Trinidad e Tobago que tenho vindo a desenvolver um ensino holístico, com metodologias baseadas numa abordagem comunicativa, através da introdução de tarefas, que permitem o desenvolvimento de determinadas habilidades linguístico-comunicativas. Nas minhas aulas procura desenvolver as 4 habilidades: leitura e escrita, compreensão e produção oral. Procura também envolver o aprendente no processo de ensino e aprendizagem e promover a autonomia do aluno.My teaching material

I felt comfortable trying to speak European Portuguese with Marina. With her, I am getting a native speaker who is also a professional linguistics educator who knows how to teach effectively. She even provided written materials that aided my understanding. I look forward to bolstering my confidence while improve my conversational skills with her in future sessions.

This was my first iTalki lesson so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m an introvert and a beginner in Portuguese so I wasn’t sure this would work for me. But Marina was very easy to talk with and the 30 minutes flew by! It was a great experience and I’m looking forward to more sessions.
